1st 3-D Archery Shoot -- August 7th, 2004

Our first Archery 3-D competition was held Saturday, August 7th. It was a great turn out and the kids had a blast. From the smiles on the faces, I believe the adults were having fun too!

We had around 150 people in attendance with 37 shooters and 20 of those were youth shooters.

The shoot was sponsored by Chris, Shannon and Dustin Bishop Sporting Goods of Mt. Vernon KY. They supplied all the food and the prizes. The winners of the prizes are as follows:

PSC Bruin Bow Greg Humes
PSC Bow Slings Dustin Moore
PSC Bow Slings Sam Jones
Carbon Force Arrows - 1 dzn Steve Isaacs
PSC Caliper Release Rowland Taylor
PSC Caliper Release Robert Burgess
PSC Quiver Ben Blevins
VibraChek Stabilizer Curt Herrington

Kenny Houp of Jessamine County won the Long Shot competition.

The shoot raised $435.50 which was split evenly between the Cedar Creek Club and the Rockcastle County Middle School.

We plan two more shoots before our fish fry and then a shoot the day of the fish fry on September 25th. Please come out and help support the Cedar Creek Archery Club and the Cedar Creek Sportsman's Club!

Thanks to all who helped!

As you can see, we have our work cut out for us.....

Congratulations to Lincoln County High School Archery Club for winning the National Title!
The Archery Club received a grant for $750.
