Cedar Creek Sportsman's Club Meeting
February 21, 2006

Monthly meeting called to order by club President, Gary Napier. Curt Herrington ask the blessing. Meal: Spaghetti, salad, bread and a variety of desserts were served.

Attendance: 48 members and 1 visitor present.

Roll Call:

Treasurer, Mike Taylor absent

Board members, Joyce Kitts, Alvie Atwood, Les Gooch, Mike Carrier, Paul French, Steve Isaacs absent.

Minutes read by secretary, Brenda Williams. R.C. Taylor made motion to accept, seconded by Bill Frazier & approved by club without amendments.

Financial Report read by Club President in absence of treasurer. Copy of Financial Report attached to these minutes. Wm Earl Denham made motion to accept, seconded by Bill Frazier & approved by club without discussion.

Committee Reports:

Skeet Range: Julian Gander reports shoots have ceased due to the bad weather..

Rifle/Pistol Range: No activity.

Archery Range: No activity.

Quail Unlimited: No reports

Beagle: No reports

Old Business:

>Gary informed the members that the club had secured new insurance at a much lower costs. Mike Taylor and Julian Gander were members who researched and came up with a company that allowed us adequate coverage for a reduced premium..

>Gary ask members if anyone had ideas for a spring events to raise money. Tommie Gooch suggested a “spring fling”…face painting for children, food, etc mostly geared toward children. R.C. Taylor suggested a “steak supper & auction” Gary Napier named a committee to take down suggestions from members.
Committee is Debbie Muse, Phillip Adams, Julian Gander, Virda Zars, & Brenda Williams…members should contact committee with their ideas/suggestions.
