The monthly meeting was called to order by club President, Gary Napier. Curt Herrington ask the blessing. Meal: Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, beans & desserts
Attendance: 62 members and 5 visitors.
Roll Call:
Board member Steve Isaacs absent & Brenda Williams, secretary. Minutes read by Debbie Muse, Vice President. Les Gooch made motion to approve & Stephen Price seconded the motion.
Financial Report read by Mike Taylor, Treasurer. $ in bank - $ was paid on the principal Oct 20, 2005. Copy of Financial Report attached to minutes. Curt Herrington made a motion to approve and Bill Frazier seconded the motion.
Committee Reports:
Skeet Range: Julian Gander reported that it will reopen in April.
Rifle/Pistol Range: Rick Muse reported that it will open in April or May.
Archery Range: No Activity.
Quail Unlimited: Ray Hammonds reported that they had the KY Open with 40 dogs last week. The Quail Club Trials will be this week. May 13th, Quail Club Banquet. The Nationals were held in Georgia and six from KY made the top 20 dogs. Ray’s dog placed 4th in the Open.
Beagle: no reports
Coon: no reports
Ron Tolar, Fish and Wildlife Commissioner and Sgt. James Bingham joined us for the meal and meeting. Mr. Tolar gave a talk to the club.
Old Business:
Joyce Kitts needs recipes for the cookbook. A meeting will be held at her house on March 27th at 5:pm. The book needs to go to print by June 1st.
New Business:
>Hunter Education Course – Saturday March 25th..
>The Boy Scouts will use the property for the Heritage District Meeting; there will be around 300 boys.
>We will host a spring banquet on April 29th. A meeting will be held on March 26 at 2pm.
