Cedar Creek Sportsman's Club Meeting
April 18, 2006

The monthly meeting was called to order by club President, Gary Napier. Curt Herrington ask the blessing. A meal was enjoyed by everyone.

Attendance: 41 members and 3 visitors.

Roll Call: Board members; Steve Isaacs, Alvie Atwood, & Joe Amburgey were absent. Minutes read by Brenda Williams, secretary. Curt Herrington motion to approve, Bill Frazier seconded. Financial Report read by Mike Taylor, Treasurer. $ in checking bank – Stephen Price motion to approve, Julian Gander seconded.

Committee Reports:

Skeet Range: Julian Gander reported skeet range is open approx 6pm to 10pm.

Rifle/Pistol Range: Rick Muse reported range is open.

Archery Range: No Activity.

Quail Unlimited: No reports.

Beagle: no reports

Coon: no reports

*Committee for Spring Banquet, Chairman, Debbie Muse, reported that the club could purchase potato wedges enough to feed 350 for $105.00 and green beans enough to feed 350 for $132 from Durhams, the club opted to let committee go ahead & order these items from Durhams. Debbie ask club members to bring cole slaw and cakes. Rolls will be purchased for event, 15 packs for $1.45 each. Debbie ask members that could to be at the club on April 28th at 6pm to clean and decorate.

President, Gary Napier, reported; *Julian Gander has sold (3) tables for politicians. *Paul French will be in charge of getting the smoked tenderloins cooked, *Les Gooch is getting auction items & if anyone has unsold tickets, please bring back to club..

Old Business:

Joyce Kitts reminded everyone she needs recipes for the cookbook.

New Business:

President, Gary Napier, appointed a Nominating Committee. This Committee will submit nominations for each office and four Director positions at the May meeting of the general membership. (by-laws, Section 5)

Nominating Committee consist of the Vice President, Debbie Muse, one current Director, Julian Gander, and three members of the general club membership, Mike Taylor, Wm Earl Denham, and Charles Hobney.

Speaker: Arlin Sanders spoke to the club about tourism and growth in Lincoln County. His office is located in the Buzz Walker Bldg, Main Street, Stanford. He described ways they wanted to promote our club and our county. A brochure of our club will be placed in tourism with Luzia Foster. Luzia reported they get about ten request per month from people wanting a packet of brochures describing what our county has to offer. Andrea Miller, Chamber of Commerce Director invited the club to join the Chamber. Publicity & club activities would be part of their Website. Mike Taylor wrote a check $44.00 for the club to join.

Stephen Price, Boy Scout leader & club member reported the Boy Scout troop will be on the club grounds May 19, 20 & 21st for an outing. They have several activities scheduled for the boys.
