The monthly meeting was called to order by Gary Napier, President. Curt Herrington gave the blessing on our meal of salads and desserts. 46 members & 4 visitors present.
Officers present: Gary Napier, president, Debbie Muse, V-Pres, Mike Taylor, treasurer, Brenda Williams, secretary (absent).
Board Member absent: Steve Isaacs
Minutes from July meeting and treasurer’s report read by treasurer, Mike Taylor. We have at present $ in the checking account and $ in a C.D. earning 2% interest. Phillip Adams made motion to accept minutes as read and treasurer’s report, Les Gooch seconded. There was discussion on how much money to pay on the note.
Other Club & Committee Reports:
Quail Unlimited: Ray Hammonds reported that they held their annual fry last week. Sept 17th, there will be 20 events. Two youth quail hunts in Casey on 12/3 and here on 3/11. 10/29-Fun Hunt- $40.
Skeet Club: Skeet range is open Mondays & Thursdays. 8/27 Fundraiser- $30 for two rounds to benefit Garrard County Baseball.
Archery Club: no reports
Gun &Rifle range: Dozer work will begin Thursday (Aug 18) morning.
Beagle Club: No report.
Coon Club: No report.
Old Business:
Joyce Kitts reported that members need to continue submitting recipes. This will be coordinated by June of next year and the books will be ready by the fish fry next year (2006).
Our September meeting will be held on the 2nd Tuesday in order to get ready for the fish fry (Sept 17th). R.C. Taylor made a motion to accept this and Joe Amburgey seconded, all members agreed.
New Business:
We need a lot of members to volunteer to work at the Fish Fry . Brochures/Flyers and tickets were distributed.

-Hunter Education Course will be here at the clubhouse on Sept 10, 7:30am to 5pm.
-Dove Hunt – Rick Muse reported that Sept 1 is when it opens. Sept 3 is mentor day – youth hunt. Call for reservations, you must have a guardian for age 15 and under.
