The monthly meeting was called to order by Gary Napier, President. Mike Taylor gave the blessing on our meal of pinto beans, cornbread and desserts. 42 members & 0 visitors present.

Minutes from September meeting read by sec, Brenda Williams. Stephen Price made motion to approve, Les Gooch seconded. Treasurer’s report read by treasurer, Mike Taylor. We have at present $ in the checking account. Inflow was mostly from the fish fry. Outflow mostly for fish fry expenses (guns, etc). R.C. Taylor made motion to approve treasurer’s report, Julian Gander seconded.
Other Club & Committee Reports:
Quail Unlimited: Ray Hammonds reminded us of the ‘fun-hunt’ here at CCSC on Oct 29th & 30th. Also, on Dec 3rd in Casey County First Southern Bank, Jess Correll along with Joe Martin will hold a youth hunt.
Skeet Club: Julian Gander reported good turn outs on Monday and Thursdays of each week.
Archery Club: no reports
Gun &Rifle range: Rick Muse reported his group of volunteers had completed most of the building and gravel had been poured. Rick ask members to recognize Alvie Atwood, James Manuel, Joe & Paul French along with others that had worked hard on completing the rifle range.
Beagle Club: No report.
Coon Club: No report.

-Gary ask that we give a round of applause for all those members who gave of their time to work Saturday, Sept 17 at the fish fry.
-Members voted to change the meeting time to 6:30pm for the winter months beginning with the November meeting. Tommie Gooch made the motion, Betty Frazier seconded.
-Members voted to begin Rook Games the first Friday of each month beginning in November at 6:30pm
-Crab Orchard Veterans Memorial “fund raiser” will be Oct 21st, 5:30pm in Broughtentown, Chili supper & auction. R.C. Taylor made motion we contribute, Ronald Lawrence seconded. All members voted yes. R.C. Taylor passed around his hat and collected $130 to go for the Memorial from CCSC. ($60 membership and $70cash)
-Vice-Pres, Debbie Muse, reported that we were now ready to rent the building. Debbie gave the guidelines for renting the bldg plus costs and deposits required. For non-members to rent bldg, $250 to rent w/$100 deposit. For members, $125 to rent w/$100 deposit. Deposits will be refunded, if clean up has been successfully completed. Committee assisting Debbie with the rental of the building are board members, Mike Carrier & Joe Amburgey and secretary, Brenda Williams.
-Les Gooch ask members if anyone had storage available for archery targets. Ray Hammonds volunteered space in attic at Quail Unlimited to store targets.
-Pres, Gary Napier, ask members for their thoughts on dropping the building insurance. Few members spoke up but it was mostly not favored.
