The monthly meeting was called to order by Mike Taylor, Treasurer, in the absence of Gary Napier, President. He also read the minutes from the last meeting.
Curt Herrington gave the blessing on our meal of chili, sandwiches and cake. We celebrated James and Irene Lamb’s 50th anniversary with a large anniversary cake and card.
Roll Call: Absent: Steve Isaacs, Paul Young, Brenda Williams, Gary Napier and RC Taylor.
Mike Taylor gave the financial report. Joe Amburgey made the motion to accept and Alvie Atwood seconded the motion. There was a motion by Curt Herring to pay $x of our certificate of deposit on the land and seconded by Joe Amburgey.
Seven hundred people attended the fish fry. Thanks to everyone for their help in making this a successful event.
Committee Reports:
The only committee report was from the skeet club. They have obtained their
entertainment permit and are waiting for electricity. Hopefully they will
start soon.
One hundred sixteen people attended the Hunter Education Course.
Members were asked to give a list of the needs and wants such as air conditioning and heat, water, picture of lake, tractor and bush hog.
Area businesses have donated signs – five 3’ x 4’ for $500, two 2’ x 3’ for $250.
Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Ron Tolar spoke to the club. He discussed the possibility of Fish and Wildlife re-districting.
Curt Herrington had the closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned.
