The monthly meeting was called to order by Gary Napier, President.
Curt Herrington gave the blessing on our meal of finger foods, chips, &
desserts.
75 members were present.
Gary Napier resumed the meeting after our meal with reading the minutes from
the November meeting. R.C. Taylor motion to accept minutes as read, Alvie
Atwood seconded. Minutes were accepted, no amendments.
Roll Call: Absent were Paul Young
bd mbr and alternate bd mbr, Paul French. (P.Young was working & P.French &
wife, Connie were in Florida)
Mike Taylor gave a financial report: $ out of checking into a CD to be used
for the club’s annual interest payment, this was the largest outflow to our
checking acct…Mike reported roughly $ remains in the checking acct. Mike had
been on a trip to Indiana & did not get back to bank in time to get
secretary a copy of bank statement, he will obtain later. Les Gooch made the
motion to accept & Curt Herrington seconded the motion.
Heat and Air Conditioning installed by Larry Pettitt & wife, Juanita... club
gave them a hand.
Committee reports:
Rifle Range: Rick Muse reported, they have a dozier lined up to get started.
Beagle Club: David Long reported the Beagle Club had given Mike Taylor,
financial officer. a check for $ from their last 3 hunts.
Quail Unlimited: Ray Hammonds, Feb 15-19 will their trials. Feb 19 will the
steak banquet. All the ladies of our club were asked to help again with
serving and welcoming folks attending banquet.
Old business:
380 Beretta Pistol lucky winner was James Mike Carrier. The club made approx
$ on the pistol which was donated to the club by John Hackley.
New business:
Phillip Adams asked, “when is the next rook game?” Club members decided
January 14, 2005, 6:30pm. All members are welcome, even if you decide not to
play rook, so please attend. Everyone is encouraged to bring knick-knacks
for snacking.
License plates with Cedar Creek Sportsman Club on them are on sale for
$5.00. Bill Rodgers makes them for the club. The club will make $2.50 profit
on each plate.
The club had (2) 8x10 pictures made. One was Hackley family and one was Ben
Chandler. Mr. Hackley was present & received his 8X10 from the club.
Discussion: Gary announced that
Danny Downey and Mike Phillippe are going to build the club’s kitchen
cabinets. Kitchen was cleared for installation of our new cabinets.
Entertainment for a night of fun at the clubhouse will be in the future.
Bluegrass Band/s will be invited….more about this event at future meeting.
Christmas gifts donated to the club were auctioned off by Gary Napier &
assisted by R.C. Taylor & James Lamb. 52 items were donated by club members.
Approx $ proceeds to the club from event. Exact amount will be read in
financial report at next month’s meeting.
Club President, Gary Napier, Officers and Board Members would like to say
