Cedar Creek Sportsman's Club Meeting
May 16, 2006

Monthly meeting called to order by club President, Gary Napier. Benediction given by Mike Taylor. (Curt Herrington absent) Meal (hamburgers/hotdogs, salads, & desserts) enjoyed by everyone.

Attendance: 41 members/zero visitors.

Roll Call: All officers were present. Absent board member was Steve Isaacs. Minutes read by Brenda Williams, secretary. Motion to approve made by Charles Hobney, seconded by R.C. Taylor. Financial Report read by Mike Taylor, Treasurer. Motion to approve made by Bill Frazier, seconded by Les Gooch.

For our Spring Banquet, Mike wanted to thank Joe & Paul French, & Phillip Adams for cooking the pork tenderloin. Also, the ladies for cleaning, decorating, and cooking.

Committee Reports:

Skeet Range: none
Rifle/Pistol Range: none
Archery Range: none
Quail Unlimited: Danny Downey donated $ from QU to help defray expenses with CCSC “Youth Program”
Beagle: no reports
Coon: no reports

*Committee Chairman, Debbie Muse, reported the club’s Spring Banquet had been a success. Debbie gave a ‘thank-you’ to all members involved in making the banquet a success.

Also, Debbie ask members to please turn in their nominations for officers & directors as soon as possible.

Old Business:

Joyce Kitts reminded everyone she needs recipes for the cookbook. Joyce told club the cookbooks should be ready to sale by the fall fish fry. Janice Southard and Debbie Muse are assisting Joyce with the typing of the recipes.

New Business:

>Mark Taylor ask if there were any club members who were also carpenters that we had playground equipment ready to set up.

>Rick Muse ask for volunteers to work at the club with the youth on June 3rd, free fishing day. All volunteers would be appreciated. In the morning there will be a safety class, then across to the lake for fishing and a cookout.

>Also, Dept of Fish & Wildlife has approved the club’s application for a Dove Field/hunt. The club receives $ from this event. Phillip Adams lends his land for the event.
